Nicole Chan of St. John’s broke a 26-year-old provincial senior women's triple jump record Saturday at the NLAA 2019 provincial track and field championships at the Pearlgate Track and Field Complex in Mount Pearl.

Chan leapt 10.97 metres, beating the old record set in 1993 by Lori Toope.
