Andrew Davies of Sarnia, Ont., who was the 48th overall finisher in the under-20 division at the world cross-country championship last month in Denmark, won the Harbourfront 10K road race Sunday, finishing in a time of 32 minutes and 39 seconds.

Jennifer Murrin had an outstanding run to place first amongst females in 35:30. She was ninth overall.

The race saw 282 finishers.

David Freake of St. John’s was second in 33:45, and Mark Greene rounded out the top three in 34:14.

Nick Snow was fourth in 34:24 and Zack Putt placed fifth in 34:31.

Melanie Van Soeren was second to Murrin in a time of 39:21, and Nicole Hollohan placed third in 39:49. The fourth-place finisher was Katrina-Lynn Picco in 39:57, followed by Sarah Molloy in 41 minutes flat.
