The St. John’s Edge limp back to St. John’s to play their only two-game homestand this month losers of three straight games.
The Edge dropped their latest contest 94-91 to the Saint John Riptide Wednesday night in Saint John, N.B. It was the final game of a five-game road trip that saw the Edge go 2-3.
St. John’s was without Glen Davis, injured Tuesday night in Moncton, N.B., and Carl English, who was placed on injured reserve last weekend.
With the loss, the Edge fall to 15-11, and nipping at their heals are the Windsor Express, who sit at 15-12. That’s the same Express team at Mile One Centre Friday night and Sunday afternoon for a pair of games.
Junior Cadougan again led the Edge in scoring Wednesday with 25 points. Dez Lee scored 21 and Jared Nickens chipped in with 11.
