The seventh stop on the Tely Tour junior golf series was held Monday under ideal weather conditions at the Glendenning Golf Course in the Southlands section of St. John’s.
In the bantam boys division, Ben Preston of Pitcher's Pond Golf Club won his first title of the season, recording a 47 and a one-stroke victory over Lucan Meade of Clovelly Golf Club. Evan Gulliver of Pitcher's Pond was third with a 49.
Sanjana Gullipalli of Clovelly recorded a 46 for the low round of the day in the bantam divisions to be crowned divisional champion.
In juvenile boys, Karsen Best of Bally Haly Country Club carded a 79 to win the division over Braeden King of Gander Golf Club.
Geoff Kerr of Bally Haly captured the boys junior division title with a score of 82. Kerr won the title by nine strokes over Glendenning Golf member Travis Noel. Nandan Chandrahanth, also of Bally Haly placed third with a 99.
The next event on the Tour is the Future Shooters Showdown set for Wednesday at The Wilds Golf Resort in Salmonier. Teeoff is 8:00 a.m.
