There’s a three-way tie for the scoring lead in Breen’s Jubilee Trophy women’s soccer league.
Stacey Hanlon scored twice in Feildians Greensleeves’ 8-0 win over the C.B.S. Calvin Randell Strikers Thursday night at King George V Park in St. John’s.
Hanlon now has 12 goals this season, the same as Malorie Harris and Jessie Noseworthy of league-leading and undefeated Holy Cross Avalon Ford (11-0).
Hanlon has a chance to take over as top scorer when Feildians (8-3-1) faces winless Mount Pearl 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Feildian Grounds in the only weekend game on the Jubilee Trophy schedule.
Melissa Reid also scored twice in the Double Blues’ victory Thursday. Jamie King, Beth Hynes, Katie Joyce and Makayla Pearl had the other goals for Feildians, with Sydney Walsh posting the shutout.
The Strikers saw their record fall to 3-9-0.
