St. Kevin’s Mavericks female team and the Holy Heart Highlanders male squad top the latest rankings for the Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association’s Hall of Fame Cup (Elite Eight).

The high school basketball championships will be played Feb. 16-18 at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre in St. John’s.

Over 300 game results have been forwarded to the provincial office to assist with the rankings. The rankings are prepared by Elite Eight Program chairman Roger Head, and committee members Doreen Pond, Gerard Brien, Randy Ash, Bill Hurley, Randy Ball, Bill Brophy and Bill Murphy.
