Levi Moulton had the top result for Memorial runners at the 2018 Subway Atlantic University Sport cross-country championships Saturday in Halifax.

Moulton, a product of Holy Spirit High in Manuels, had a time of 33 minutes and 22.86 seconds over the 10-kilometre men’s course.

Sea-Hawks Nick Snow (19th), Tyler Cole (21st), Chris Galley (24th), Alexander Pittman (35th) and Aaron Wilcox (38th) were among the 50 finishers and combined with Moulton to give Memorial fifth place in the men’s team competition.

In the women’s race, conducted over eight kilometres, Hannah Cooke (25th, 33:08.04) had Memorial’s top showing, with Danielle Seviour (27th) and Katrina Lynn Picco (29th) other Sea-Hawks among the 56 women’s finishers.

The Dal Tigers, led by first-place finisher Michelle Reddy of Sarnia, Ont. (29:23.21), captured their sixth straight women’s cross country title, with the St. Francis Xavier claiming the men’s team crown behind individual champion Angus Rawling of Calgary (31:33.23).
