The Chayee Bourras Newfoundland Selects lost their only playoff game, a 12-2, four-inning setback to the Belmore Sting of  Ontario to finish 5-4 at the Canadian under-19 men’s fastpitch softball championship which finished Sunday in Napanee, Ont.

Marcus Pittman (3.2IP, 10R, 4ER, 8H, 3BB, 9K) started and was relieved by Lucas Reid (0.1IP, 2R, 2ER, 2H, 2BB, 0K).

Newfoundland managed only four hits, collected by Nathan Jesso, Brandon Arbour, Jordan Hamilton and Darcy O'Reilly.

Newfoundland second baseman Noah Dinn was named to the tournament all-star team after hitting .455.
