Rosie Ryan of Kippens has been named an associate coach for athletics with Special Olympics Team Canada which is headed to the Special Olympics World Summer Games next year in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

It’s the first time a Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador coach has been selected to be part of the Special Olympics Canada national team.

The 2019 Special Olympics Team Canada squad will be chosen based on the athletes’ respective sport performances at the upcoming Special Olympics Canada 2018 bowling championships in Charlottetown, P.E.I. as well as the Special Olympics Canada 2018 Summer Games in Antigonish, N.S.
