Eric Healey’s pitching dominance in Molson St. John’s intermediate softball continued Monday night at Lions Park as he struck out 18 batters to lead the Conception Bay Central Junior Canadians to a 2-0 win over Sportscraft Waterford Valley.

Healey, who allowed just two hits and didn’t walk a batter, has pitched three complete-game wins over four days, striking out 46 batters in 19 innings.

On Monday, Healey had a perfect game going before Patrick Heffernan’s one-out single in the fourth inning. He struck out the side in four innings, including the final three.

Riley Kenny drove in both Junior Canadian runs with a two-out single in the bottom of the fourth.

Jordan Noftall (5H, 2W, 7K) took the loss.

In Monday’s other game, Tyler McDonald allowed just three hits over seven innings as the Conception Bay South Storm blanked Sable Building and Design 8-0.

McDonald (3W, 7K) got the win over Ryan Kelly (12H, 7K), who also went the distance for Goulds-based Sable.

Mike Gregory and Logan Power each had three hits for the Storm, with Power scoring twice.
