Pelley-MacHardy wins sixth straight Tely Tour title

Jack Pelley-MacHardy’s winning streak on the Tely Junior Golf Tour continued Tuesday as the 13-year-old from Grand Falls-Windsor topped the bantam boys division in the Gander Junior Invitational

It was a sixth straight Tely Tour bantam win for Pelley-MacHardy, whose score of 35, played over nine holes at the Gander Golf Club, included an eagle on the par-4 seventh hole.

Pelley-MacHardy finished six strokes ahead of Evan Snow of Gander.

In the juvenile boys division, Ethan Efford of Bally Haly in St. John’s followed up his win Monday in Grand Falls with another one in Gander. Effiord’s 85 gave him a two-stroke win over Evan Pye of the host club.

In the bantam girls division, Paige Allen of Blomidon Golf Club in Corner Brook took top spot for the third consecutive event with a score of 63 over nine holes, while Abigail Snow of Gander Golf Club, placed second with a score of 79.

After a day off today, the Tour resumes with an event Thursday at the Pitcher's Pond Golf Course in Whiteway, Trinity Bay.
