Quebec reports 226 new COVID-19 cases and 35 deaths

Here are the latest COVID-19 numbers from Santé Québec as of 11 a.m. Saturday.

There are 226 new cases, bringing the total of confirmed cases in Quebec to 52,624. There were 35 new deaths and 4,970 persons have died in the province. There are 981 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospitals and that’s a decrease of 49.

Montreal continues to be the hardest-hit region, with 26,122 cases and 3,062 deaths.

Montreal North has 2,430 cases, while each of the following boroughs has more than 2,000 cases: Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Rivières-des-Prairies—Pointe-aux-Trembles, and Mercier—Hochelaga—Maisonneuve. Villeray—St-Michel—Parc-Extension has 1,992 cases.
