NEW WATERFORD, N.S. — The Breton Education Centre Bears will look to add two more provincial soccer banners to their collection this weekend.
The New Waterford school will play for the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Division 2 boys and girls championships Saturday.
The boys will play at 12 p.m. against École Secondaire du Sommet of Bedford at St. Francis Xavier University field in Antigonish. BEC finished third at the provincials last November.
Meanwhile, the girls team will face Northeast Kings Education Centre of Canning at 1 p.m. at North Nova Education Centre in New Glasgow. The game will be a rematch of the 2019 final, which saw Northeast Kings win the title.
The boys team will look for their first provincial title since 2007, while the girls club last won the title in 2018.
