Grandy’s River Collegiate girls win A division title

Corner Brook Regional High successfully retained its crown as girls 4A champs at the School Sports NL Super Volley provincial championships held in Gander and Glenwood recently. The tournament saw 65 boys and girls teams from across the province competed in eight dfferent divisions. CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Corner Brook Regional High are 4A Girls Volleyball champions once again.

The girls retained their crown at the School Sports NL Super Volley provincial championships held in Gander and Glenwood on Dec 6.

The Corner Brook Regional High boys team were also defending their title in the 4A division but finished just outside of the finals in third place this year.

Other teams along the west coast found success in other divisions.

The Grandy’s River Collegiate girls of Burnt Islands took home the A division title while the school finished third in the boys' A division. 

Bonne Bay Academy of Woody Point came up just short in the boys’ A division, finishing second.

The tournament featured over 1100 student athletes with 65 teams across all eight divisions.
