SYDNEY, N.S. — A former Cape Breton Capers basketball coach has resigned as the Saskatchewan Rattlers' head coach and general manager.
The Canadian Elite Basketball League team announced that Greg Jockims will be stepping away from the sidelines.
According to reports, Jockims will remain with team as an advisor.
Jockims coached Cape Breton University in the late 1990s, winning an Atlantic University Sport championship and a bronze medal at nationals.
In August, Jockims led the Saskatchewan team to the inaugural Canadian Elite Basketball League championship, knocking off the Hamilton Honey Badgers, 94-83.
