ALBERTON, P.E.I. — Sam Hackett tied the game with two seconds remaining Saturday as the Western Regals earned a 3-3 tie with the Kings County Kings in P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League action.

Rankin Noye had two goals for the Regals at the Jacques Cartier Memorial Arena while Carson MacArthur had two helpers and singles went to Colby MacDonald, Cody McCormick and Michael McRae.

Gabe Hartlen scored twice for the Kings while Taylor Maguire chipped in one. Captain Alexander Dixon had two assists while Craig Steadman added one.

Landon Patton (Kings) and Turner Ellis (Regals) were the goalies.

Kings County, which held 2-0 and 3-2 period leads, went 1-for-5 on the power play and killed both of the Regals’ chances with the man advantage.

Fourth-place Western (5-6-5) is nine points up on Kings County (1-10-4) in the five-team league. The Kings play the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils (8-6-4) Sunday at noon in Pownal.
