CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A trio of Charlottetown Islanders and an Island native made NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list released Tuesday.

The list separates players in A, B, C and LV (limited viewing) categories. An A ranking indicates a potential first-round candidate while a B is a potential second- or third-rounder with C being someone who could go in Rounds 4-6.

Islanders’ sophomore defencemen Oscar Plandowski and Will Trudeau, who have played together to start the season, received B and C rankings, respectively. Left-winger Jakub Brabenec, the Isles’ top pick in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) import draft, was a C prospect. He has not played with Charlottetown this season as the CHL works with the federal government to get permission for the players to join their junior squad.

Portage native Zach Biggar, a defenceman in his rookie season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, is ranked as a C prospect.

There is no clear No. 1 prospect at this point in the season.
