Regular regatta events cancelled in Baddeck, some events take place

Visitors to the Baddeck waterfront may have noticed the public washrooms at the Bras d’Or Yacht Club have not been open this year. The club closed the washroom facilities due to a lack of financial support to keep them in operation.

BADDECK, N.S. — The Bras d’Or Yacht Club cancelled some of its annual regatta week festivities in Baddeck, however, other events did take place as scheduled.

A sail past and social with entertainment by Andrew Doyle took place on Friday, while the annual McCurdy Cup Race was held Saturday afternoon. Entertainment was also scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

The Ben Eoin Yacht Club and Marina held its annual regatta last month. No information was available regarding the annual regatta at Northern Yacht Club in North Sydney.
