ALBERTON, P.E.I. — The Western Regals picked up three weekend points in the P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League.

The Regals defeated the Robin’s Mid-Isle Matrix 2-1 Friday in Cornwall and skated to a 4-4 tie with the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack Saturday in Alberton.

The Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils defeated the Kings County Kings 7-1 Friday in Souris.

Regals 2, Matrix 1

Carson MacArthur scored both of the Regals’ goals in the first period while Landon Hardy cut the deficit to one with a power-play goal with two minutes to play.

Sam Hackett, Jack Reilly, Kolby Baker and Colby MacDonald each had an assist for Western (2-4-1) while Jack Doucette had the lone helper for Mid-Isle (1-4-2).

Turner Ellis earned the win while Ty Arsenault took the loss.

Red Devils 7, Kings 1

John-Thomas Wood scored a pair of third period goals to lead the Red Devils to victory.

Holden Bradley, Seth MacLeod and James Wood each had a goal and an assist while Aiden Drake and Lance Kennedy rounded out the scoring for Pownal. Nathan Campbell, Jack Dwyer, Tristan Lea, Hunter MacLeod, Gavin Mason and Sam Parson each chipped in an assist.

Dylan Blackett from Alexander Dixon scored for Kings County (1-4-1).

Caleb Drake earned the win while Drew Chapman took the loss.

Pownal held 2-1 and 3-1 period leads.

Attack 4, Regals 4

Damiyan Boyle scored the equalizer with seven minutes to go in regulation as the Attack earned a tie.

John MacKinnon had a goal and an assist for Central (5-1-2) while Noah Dow and Josh Lund rounded out the scoring. Keegan Callaghan had two assists while Ben Watts was credited with one.

Hackett had three assists to pace the Regals while Baker had a goal and an assist. MacArthur, Rankin Noye and Harper Richard also scored for Western. Cole Hemphill, Michael McRae and Reilly each contributed a helper.

The goalies were Keegan Duffy (Attack) and Nylan Hustler (Regals).

The game was tied 1-1 after the first and 2-2 heading to the third.
