Eddie Rosario hit a three-run, go-ahead pinch-hit home run in the seventh inning and Mitch Garver and C.J. Cron also homered as the Minnesota Twins rallied to snap a three-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over the Oakland A's on Thursday night in Minneapolis.
Trailing 3-1, Rosario hit the first pitch thrown by reliever Yusmeiro Petit (2-2) off the facing of the second deck in right-center, driving in Luis Arraez who had doubled off the right-field wall and Miguel Sano, who had walked, chasing starter Mike Fiers.
Garver and Cron each added solo shots in the eighth off Lou Trivino to give the Twins a league-leading 177 home runs this season.
Kyle Gibson (9-4) picked up the victory allowing three runs on six hits over seven innings. He didn't walk a batter and struck out seven. Taylor Rogers pitched two scoreless innings to notch his 14th save.
Sano had a single and two walks and scored twice and Arraez doubled and walked twice and also scored a run for the Twins, who remained four games ahead of the Cleveland Indians in the American League Central.
Jurickson Profar homered and Ramon Laureano had three hits and scored twice for Oakland, which had a six-game winning streak snapped. Fiers gave up three runs on six hits and four walks over 6 1/3 innings as the A's lost for just the third time in 16 games against AL Central teams. He struck out four.
Minnesota took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Sano led off with a walk and went to second on a single by Jake Cave. After Ehire Adrianza sacrificed the runners to second and third, Sano scored on a wild pitch.
Oakland tied it in the fourth when Laureano singled, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a double down the left field line by Khris Davis.
The A's took a 3-1 lead in sixth inning on Profar's third homer in two games and 14th of the season, a drive into the second deck in right-center that also drove in Laureano, who had singled. It extended Oakland's streak with a home run to 18 games.
But Rosario put Minnesota in front to stay in the bottom of the seventh with the third pinch-hit homer of his career and 21st of the season, a 414-foot line drive to right-center.
