Challenge Cup soccer: Arch-rivals Holy Cross, Laurentians square off at KGV today

Second place is on the line as the Holy Cross Crusaders and the St. Lawrence Laurentians tangle in Johnson’s Insurance Challenge Cup provincial men’s soccer  4 p.m. today at King George V Park in St. John’s.

Defending champion Holy Cross and St. Lawrence each have 31 points, six fewer than the first place Feildians, but the Crusaders have two games in hand on both the league leaders and the Laurentians.

There are two games Sunday at KGV. At 2 p.m., Holy Cross hosts Paradise, followed by a 5 p.m. game between Feildians and Mount Pearl.
