The St. John’s Edge have unveiled their first-ever roster.
The National Basketball League of Canada expansion team plays its first-ever game Saturday night in Charlottetown, P.E.I., against the Island Storm with a 12-player lineup that was announced Thursday.
The matchup with the Storm is part of a five-game season-opening road trip. The Edge makes their home debut at Mile One Centre on Dec. 1.
Newfoundlander Carl English is one of six Canadians named to the team. NBL Canada teams must have at least five Canadian players.
Former Memorial Sea-Hawk oel Moffatt, the other Newfoundlander who attended the Edge's trainin camp, was not on the season-opening roster.
