David Edwards scattered three hits over five inning and didn’t allow a walk as Holy Cross blasted the Gonzaga Vikings in St. John’s Molson intermediate baseball Thursday night at St. Pat’s Ball Park.
John Cribb hit two doubles and drive in two runs for the winners in a contest shorted by the league’s mercy rule.
Gonzaga starter Connor Swain took the loss.
Thursday’s other intermediate game at St. Pat’s was also a lopsided affair with the OMT Shamrocks prevailing 9-1 over the Knights.
Zack Fitzpatrick (5IP, 1R, 0ER, 2H, 2W, 5K) pitched the win, with Dylan McKenzie tossing an inning of scoreless relief.
Kobe Weir was tagged with the loss.
McKenzie had two hits and scored twice for the winners.
