St. John’s native Clark Bishop is back in the American Hockey League after being reassigned by the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes over the weekend.
In what was his second stint with the Hurricanes this season, the 22-year-old Bishop appeared in eight games, scored his first NHL goal and added an assist (both in the same game, Dec. 7 in Anaheim) and had a minus-three rating.
Overall, Bishop has appeared in 15 games for Carolina this fall, with a minus-two rating and four penalty minutes.
With the Charlotte Checkers, the Hurricanes‘ AHL farm team, Bishop has three goals and two assists, a plus-one rating and 20 penalty minutes in 12 games.
