Triathlete Ryan Brown of St. John’s had an impressive showing at the Subaru Ironman in Mont-Tremblant, Que. over the weekend.
Competing in the 30-34 age group, Brown finished in nine hours, 14 minutes and seven seconds.
He was second in his age group, and 15th overall out of 2,272 competitors. Brown has now qualified to run the famous Hawaii Ironman.
The Mont-Tremblant course consisted of a 3.8 kilometre swim, 180K bike ride and finished with a marathon run of 42.2 kilometres, or 26.2 miles.
