Starlites shine on Atlantic skating stage

The Mount Pearl-Paradise Open Starlites synchro team won the Atlantic Regional synchronized figure skating championship held over the weekend in Bathurst, N.B.

The Starlites will now represent the province and the region — one of five across the country — in the Canadian synchronized skating championship Feb. 22-24 in Waterloo, Ont.

Nationals attract some 40 teams and over 800 athletes from across the country.
