Tely Junior Tour begins west coast swing in Stephenville

Reigning provincial junior champion Andrew Bruce of Corner Brook had the low score Monday as the Tely Junior Golf Tour resumed its 2017 schedule with the Harmon Seaside Links Invitational in Stephenville.

In warm, but breezy, conditions, Bruce shot a 74, five shots better than fellow Humber Valley Resort golfer Matthew Bonnell.

In divisions played over nine holes, Katie Colbourne of Blomidon in Corner Brook had the low score among females, a 63, while Grand Falls’ Jack Pelley-MacHardy had a 45 in bantam boys.

The Tour continues its west-coast swing Wednesday with the Blomidon Invitational.
