ST. JOHN’S: A break before rain returns
The calm before the storm? An intensifying area of low pressure will track across central Nova Scotia Wednesday and then stall just north of Prince Edward Island before heading for Labrador on Friday. A strong, east wind will develop as the rain pushes through. Rainfall totals will range from 20 to 30 mm. More wind behind the system – this time from the south-west with gusts to 40 km/h. We can expect a break late Friday and Saturday but keep your rain boots handy – I’m watching a developing Nor’easter!
