ST. JOHN'S: Finally, a welcome shift in the jet stream

It has not been a great month but there is some hope on the horizon. The Jet Stream is shifting northward and the systems will start to track up and over the region. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be any brighter, but it should allow our temperatures to return to more seasonal values. In case you have forgotten, the normal high ranges from 12 to 14 degrees and the normal overnight low is near 2. As far as the weekend weather goes, it looks quite fair. We’ll be treated to a sunny, warm Saturday followed by a partly sunny Sunday. Dry weather will take us into the final week of May.
