ST. JOHN'S: Wet for now... some white on the way!

A spring storm that tracked up the eastern seaboard is now headed for the Northern Peninsula. The mild but gusty south wind on the warm side of system will slowly come around to the west Saturday night; that will cool things down and trigger a few showers or wet flurries. That wind direction change is compliments of the first of two cold fronts. Between the fronts, we’ll be treated to a fair but breezy Sunday. The second front is much more active. I expect about 5 cm of snow Monday night into Tuesday but snowfall totals could be as high as 10 cm from Gander to Grand Falls-Windsor. Behind the front, feel-like temperatures will range from -10 to -15.
