NEWFOUNDLAND: Nicer weather rolls in for the weekend

Grandma believed that if the humidity was high, the meringues wouldn’t be! We’re still under the far-reaching counter-clockwise circulation around a slow-moving extra-tropical system. The raw northeast wind will gust to 50 km/h into the night, then diminish tomorrow as the offshore low slowly sinks southward. A high-pressure system over the central Great Lakes is poised and ready to bring improving conditions for the first weekend of April.
