Right now, we are wedged between an offshore cold front that’s draped over the Avalon and an area of low-pressure approaching from the west.

Showers will cross the region from west to east tonight and Saturday. Behind the line of wet weather, the wind will shift to the north. The new - and much more seasonal - wind direction will bring clearing skies and a little taste of fall-like weather.

The early part of next week will be a little on the cool side but otherwise fairly quiet. I’m watching a developing system over Colorado that will start to make its move towards Atlantic Canada by the end of the week. A good soaking could be followed by the first few flurries of the season.

In the meantime, if you missed last night’s Full Harvest Moon, check it out this weekend. It will be waning but still impressive.

Did you know: an October Harvest Moon only happens once every 46 years.

Have a great weekend.
