Hang in there, this week’s parade of weather systems is almost over. While weather maker #3 is pulling out over the Labrador Sea, the next one is already bringing a rain/snow mix to parts of northern New Brunswick.

It will swing across the region tonight and Saturday. By now we know the plot... more wind and rain followed by a wind shift to the west, a drop in temperature and strong cold winds that trigger onshore snow.

The last in the series will develop off the Carolina coast during the weekend and is expected to cross Atlantic Canada from west to east Sunday night to Monday.

Then, at long last, a high-pressure system currently stalled over the American Mid-west will build in and interrupt this conveyor belt of systems. There’s some sunshine on the horizon next week.
