We need some rain but it’s always nice when it comes either at night or during the week, especially as we head into the Labour Day weekend.
The slow-moving trough and it’s muggy, unsettled air will push off the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia late today and clear Newfoundland’s east coast Saturday afternoon. The air behind the system is a little cooler, much drier – some might say perfect early fall weather.
Daytime high temperatures will reach the low 20s, while overnight lows will settle in the upper single digits; I don’t see any frost for a while.
Late Monday, a northern low-pressure system will bring rain to Labrador. The trailing front will be held back by the strong high-pressure system responsible for the fair Labour Day weekend weather. While the rain is expected to continue across Labrador, the rest of us will stay dry until midweek.
Have a wonderful, safe holiday weekend.
