Just as Nova Scotians were lighting candles for the victims of the weekend's tragic mass shooting, a stunning sunset graced the skies across the province and the rest of the East Coast. 

SaltWire Network's chief meteorologist Cindy Day asked you for photo submissions of the dazzling sunset on her Facebook page and received dozens of replies from readers. 

Ever the shutterbugs, SaltWire journalists also pointed their cameras toward the skies to capture nature in all its glory Monday evening.
